CHILLI PANEER

Welcome to my cook book Cookery Point. Today my recipe is Chilli Paneer. It is an Indian adaptation of Chinese recipe. It is a perfect appetizer. This can be made with paneer and varieties of chilli. Chilli Paneer is served as starters in both North and South Indian restaurants. Now lets see our recipe..

CHILLI PANEER


Ingredients:

To make Paneer Fry:

Paneer- 300g
Corn flour - 1 1/2 tbspn
Egg - 1 or water
Ginger garlic paste - 1/2 tbspn
All purpose flour or maida - 1 tbspn
Salt as required

To make Chilli Paneer:

Cumin seeds - 1/2 tspn
Ginger garlic paste - 1/2 tbspn
Garlic - 1tbspn (Chopped)
Green chilli -3 (Chopped)
Onion - 1/2 (chopped cubes)
Red capsicum -1/2 (diced)
Yellow capsicum - 1/2 (diced)
Chilli garlic sauce - little
Soy sauce - little
Ajinomoto - a pinch
Coriander powder - 1 tbspn
Chilli powder - 1/2 tspn
Lime juice - 2 tbspn
Curry leaves - little
Coriander leaves - little
Fried paneer
Oil as required
Salt as required
Water as required

Preparation :

Making of Paneer Fry:

Cut the paneer in to small cubes.
Take a bowl, add salt,ginger garlic paste,corn flour and egg.
Water is preferable for vegetarians instead of egg.
Mix it well and pour on paneer cubes and add maida to it
Mix it well and fry the paneer cubes in oil.
Now, Paneer fry is ready.

Making of Chilli Paneer:

Heat oil in a wok, add cumin seeds,chopped garlic,ginger garlic paste and greenchilli.
Now add onion and fry them well.
Add coriander powder,mix it well and add little water.
Fry for few minutes and add chilli garlic sauce and ajinomoto.
Now add red and yellow capsicum and fry them well.
Add chilli powder and soya sauce and mix well.
Add salt and curry leaves, fry for few minutes.
Now add lime juice and fried paneer and mix it well.
Garnish it with coriander leaves and it is ready.

Serving Suggestion:

Chilli Paneer can be served as starters.
