CHILLI GOBI

Welcome to my cookbook Cookerypoint - Ila's Kitchen. Belated Ugadi Wishes to all :)  Today my recipe is fabulous and famous street food and starters... Yup it is Chilli Gobi. What guys? Feeling tempting :) Hmmm me too yummy yummy :) The main ingredient is Cauliflower and it is a famous street food available all over India .Chilli gobi is served as starters in restaurants. The measurements of ingredients proposed here is for some 10 - 15 medium sized florets. The cornflour and maida ratio is  1: 0.5 . So, lets go to our recipe :)




Ingredients:

Cauliflower - 15 florets
Maida (All purpose flour) - 1 tbspn
Cornflour - 2 tbspn
Chilli powder - 1 tspn
Garam masala - 1/2 tspn
Cumin powder - 1/2 tspn
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbspn
Soya sauce - 1 tspn
Lemon juice - 1 tspn
Egg - 1 no
Pepper powder as required
Salt as required

Preparation:

Wash cauliflower florets and soak it in hot water.
Add turmeric powder as well and soak for 15 minutes.
Wash the florets and shallow fry it for 10 minutes.
Take a bowl and prepare the paste for frying.
Add cornflour and maida (ratio 1:0.5) and mix well.
Now add chillipowder,garam masala,cumin powder and ginger garlic paste.
Mix well and add soya sauce and egg, beat it well.
Add salt and pepper and mix the batter with lemonjuice.
Drop all florets in mixed batter and rest it for 15 minutes.
Deep fry the florets and chilli gobi is ready to serve.



Serving Suggestion:

This yummy Chilli Gobi can be served as starter with raitha and lemon .
