CARROT HALWA FOR FESTIVE OF LIGHTS

Carrot Halwa is the most delicious and easiest recipe. Eventhough,it is easier,i am trying this recipe for frist time. Its for diwali, the festival of lights. It is made up with carrots, milk and sugar. It came out good and made us mouth watering. The house is filled with wonderful flavour of ghee and milk and without delay, we will move to our recipe...

YUMMY CARROT HALWA FOR DIWALI

I am sending this sweet recipe to DIWALI SWEETS AND SNACKS EVENT hosted by LAVI.

Ingredients:

Grated carrot - 4 cups
Ghee - 2 tbspn
Milk - 4 cups
Sugar - 1 cup
Almonds, Cashewnuts, Raisins - 1/2 cup
Cardomom powder - 2 pinches

Preparation:

Take a wide pan, add ghee and heat it.
Add almonds, cashew nuts and fry for seconds.
Add raisins now,fry until it puffs up.
Add grated carrots immediately to pan.
Then add milk to it and let it boil until milk is absorbed.(Say for about 20 minutes). Stir it frequently.
Add sugar after milk is absorbed and keep it in low flame.
Cook  until ghee oozes out from halwa.(say for about 15 minutes until consistency reached)
Stir it frequently and add cardomom powder.
Now,carrot halwa is ready to serve.

CARROT HALWA
 Serving suggestion:

Carrot Halwa can be served by garnishing it with cashews and raisins. It can also be avoided as it has already added in halwa.

Try out this and enjoy the halwa....

Have a happy cooking and eating :)
